Mannaz assists our clients in the pharmaceutical sector to adapt to changes and stay abreast of trends in the healthcare landscape. We do this by building knowledge, facilitating innovation processes, and implementing and adjusting new or existing solutions.
Pharmaceutical operations today are confronted with a myriad of challenges. These range from meeting a rapidly escalating global demand to an unparalleled need for vaccines. In recent years, the industry has recognized the necessity to navigate numerous complexities. Other significant challenges include regulatory compliance, pricing, and negotiating reimbursement agreements with authorities. Maintaining efficient supply chains and staying competitive in a market teeming with both domestic and international players striving for differentiation and impact also remain crucial.
Whilst R&D in the pharmaceutical industry is costly and time-consuming, companies continuously need to invest heavily to develop new drugs and treatments to provide the greatest possible benefits to patients. They do this whilst also safeguarding their investments and navigating patent challenges. Add to these challenges the pressing need for clinical trials, regulatory approval and alignment with healthcare authorities and market access challenges and you have an industry that faces constant pressure yet even greater potential.

In the last few years, Peter Harpun has observed a significant change. The industry is beginning to explore other sectors and learn from them. This means that there is an increasing focus on executing strategy as a strategic approach, rather than merely worrying about tactical project management, which has historically been the norm.
Take a minute to gain insights about the movement within pharma operations and project management.
If you are curious about the growth and potential of the pharma sector, we encourage you to read more about how projects should be managed to maximize future success and impact.
Navigating through complexity requires different skill sets by all parts of the organisation. These skill sets are often related to projects and programs and how they are led by project managers and their project teams. We provide the training and know-how to fulfil your needs and move what matters for you and your projects.
In the competitive landscape of the pharmaceutical industry, the role of a process manager is pivotal. Recognizing this, Mannaz was contacted by a major global pharmaceutical company to design and deliver an ambitious training program designed for experienced process managers overseeing large and complex processes. In collaboration with the client, Mannaz designed this programme to equip the process managers with the skills necessary to lead, motivate, and develop their teams effectively. By investing in the growth of the process managers, the company not only enhanced individual careers but also fortified its position as a leader in the pharmaceutical industry, ready to tackle the complexity and uncertainty of tomorrow.
The course targeted experienced managers responsible for leading a team of participants, focusing on those who manage larger and more intricate processes. The participants used both parts of the project manager toolbox and the leadership toolbox to achieve their goals, so this was incorporated into the programme. Together with the client we designed a learning journey that contained several blended learning perspectives to both support the learning outcome and the quality of the leadership programme. The blended learning consisted of virtual sessions, individual preparation for the processes managers, a 360-degree leadership profile, face-to-face workshops and action plans.
The participants emerged from the training with a robust understanding of team leadership, equipped with strategies to motivate their teams and lead them to success. The training also fostered a culture of continuous improvement, with participants developing individual action plans to support the implementation of their new skills in their respective roles.
Numerous consultants from Mannaz have gained extensive experience and knowledge in the pharmaceutical industry, specializing in areas such as management, organizational development, project management, and transformation, to name a few.
